Jose Ángel Moreno (El Paso, Texas) was born in El Paso and also raised partly in Juárez, is about to finish his MS in Economics. He is currently completing his thesis on the effect that tax free shopping by Mexican nationals has on the El Paso city budget. He also has been a leader among students and staff in the way that he conducts himself. He has taken the lead not only on the drafting and creation of all our transboundary energy maps, which required many hours of detailed binational research, but also with respect to the quantitative analysis in the energy report, having harmonized the data from both El Paso Electric and the electric utility in Juárez, the CFE. José Angel is planning to study a PhD in economics. Participated in Aspen Institute Latinos and Society Program America’s Future Summit.
