Katya Wanzer is the Manager of Operations for the Health, Medicine & Society Program at the Aspen Institute. Katya has an extensive background in public health, spanning from AIDS research in San Francisco at the height of the epidemic through Environmental/Occupational Health monitoring directly after 9/11 in New York City, to promoting Health IT adoption and emergency response services for the Virginia Department of Health. Born and raised in New Mexico, Katya earned a BA in Humanities from San Francisco State University, a Master of Public Health degree from Hunter College in New York City, and a Health IT career certificate from Northern Virginia Community College. She is currently a resident of Alexandria, Virginia.
