Kristina Saccone

Director, Creative Services and Program Partnerships

Kristina directs the Creative Services division of the Communications and Marketing Department, an in-house service firm for the organization’s projects and programs.

Previously, she led the editorial strategy and content creation team at the Institute, launching the In Focus and Aspen Ignites series. Before joining the Institute in 2020, she led the digital team at Collaborative Communications Group Collaborative Communications Group, managing projects ranging from website redesign and digital tool development and content creation. Kristina previously founded and led her own strategic communications practice, called Partner + Purpose, and held leadership positions at the Donnell-Kay FoundationColorado Succeeds, and GreatSchools. She loves to create, write, and tell stories, something she did for nearly a decade as a reporter and producer at the PBS NewsHourColorado Public Radio, and Aspen Public Radio.

Kristina is a founding and current member of the Institute’s Task Force on Equity and Inclusion. She also was a founding steering committee member of Talk to Action, a Denver-based diversity, equity, and inclusion initiative.

She has a Masters in Nonprofit Management from Regis University and a Bachelors degree from Colby College. A DC-area native, she lived in Colorado for 15 years before returning to the nation’s capital, where she lives with her partner, son, and two dogs.
