Kristyn Feldman serves as the Director of Weave: The Social Fabric Project, where she oversees Weave’s program design and implementation including local partnership initiatives and the Weaver Awards program.
Prior to her work with Weave, Kristyn served as Chief of Party for three USAID Cooperative Development Programs where she provided overarching leadership, program design, project management, and strategic guidance to four international teams operating in Kenya, Rwanda, Mongolia, Uganda and across diverse technical domains. Her responsibilities spanned a wide spectrum, encompassing small business incubation, market systems integration, strategic policy development, local advocacy, and collective governance.
An advocate for inclusive community development, Kristyn served as President and Board Secretary for the Overseas Cooperative Development Council, where she provided strategic input shaping the council’s direction and new research initiatives. Kristyn has been a repeated speaker on issues related to cooperatives and trust including at the Small Enterprise Evaluation Project (SEEP) Network global conference. Her technical work delved into critical topics such as social trust as a form of social capital, community resiliency and cooperative programming, and strategies for enhancing the competitiveness through strategic policy advocacy.
Kristyn holds an honors bachelor’s degree from Hartwick College in Anthropology and a master’s degree of Global Policy Studies from the University of California, San Diego. Kristyn is a mother, spouse, coffee lover and resides in the DMV.
