Lorén Cox is the Policy Director for Aspen’s Education & Society Program. She also currently serves as the Practitioner in Residence at the Center on Race, Inequality, and the Law at NYU Law. Prior to joining Aspen, she was the Vice President of Policy and Impact at the KIPP Foundation, Senior Policy Advisor at UnidosUS, the largest Latino civil rights organization in the nation, a program examiner at the Office of Management and Budget, and a member of the Community Solutions team during the Obama Administration. She began her career as a practicing attorney before becoming a policy practitioner and advocate committed to civil rights, with a specific focus on educational equity. Lorén holds a JD from the University of North Carolina School of Law and a Ph.D. in Public Policy. She lives in Washington, DC with her husband and son.
