Michael Rasmussen has been the founding Program Director at NPower’s New Jersey region since 2015. NPower is a national nonprofit that creates pathways to economic prosperity by launching digital careers for military veterans and young adults from underserved communities. Michael oversees NPower’s Tech Fundamentals and Cybersecurity programs providing training towards industry-valued credentials, internship experience, and job placement assistance to participants. Previously, Michael worked as a Juvenile Corrections Officer at a Minnesota state-licensed residential treatment center for juveniles committed by the court. Michael is a Lead New Jersey Class of 2019 Fellow. He holds a B.A. in Criminology from the University of Minnesota-Duluth and a M.A. in Counseling from New York University.
Michael Rasmussen is a member of the Hudson County Workforce Leadership Academy, Class of 2019-2020, one of several Workforce Leadership Academies in localities across North America.
