Monica Ruiz (Medford, Massachusetts) Monica M. Ruiz is a graduate student at The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy graduating May 2016. Her academic focus centers on International Security Studies and Conflict Resolution/ Negotiations. She holds a Bachelors Degree from Florida International University in Public Relations and a Minor in International Studies from the Tianjin University of Commerce in China. Prior to attending Fletcher, Monica worked as a Public-Private Coordinator in the J-9 Partnering Directorate at U.S. Southern Command. Upon graduating from Fletcher, Monica will be based out of Tallinn, Estonia on a one year Boren Fellowship, where she will learn Russian and continue her research on NATOĆs efforts in the Baltic region.
