Nam graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in political sciences from the University of Southern California. He started his career as a field organizer on the Biden Campaign in Colorado and then on the Georgia Senate Run-Off races in 2020 following the general election. Since the 2020 campaign, he’s worked in policy research, technology, and entrepreneurship. He previously interned in two senate offices in the summer of 2021.

In 2022, he became a research assistant at USC, examining the intersection between trade and conflict mitigation between nations. Applying his tech and community engagement skills, he was a teaching assistant for a USC program that virtually teaches women in Afghanistan how to code. In the fall of 2024, Nam traveled to Ukraine to understand civilian needs in conflict zones and launched BioFlare. BioFlare is a start-up that makes devices that convert food into cooking gas for limited infrastructure areas.

In the fall of 2024, Nam became a White House intern for the Biden Administration in the National Economic Council. Nam is excited to join the Aspen Institute and leverage his experience to contribute to the organization’s goals.
