Rachel Botos joined the Business & Society Program in February 2018. As Program Associate, she supports the Programs work to cultivate leaders, including the First Movers Fellowship Program and Aspen Leaders Forum.
Rachel comes to the Aspen Institute from the NYU Social Entrepreneurship Program/NYU Reynolds Program, which supports social entrepreneurs across the university. In that role, she managed social venture competitions, planned speaker series events and workshops, and supported program operations and strategy. Prior to that, Rachel worked with the sponsorship team at Clinton Global Initiative for the 2011 Annual Meeting and held internship and volunteer leadership positions in politics and global health.
Rachel is broadly interested in supporting communities of changemakers, and the strategies and leadership capacities that catalyze their impact. She has an MPA from NYU Wagner and a B.S. in Media, Culture and Communications from NYU Steinhardt. Her academic career has focused on organizational management, social impact across sectors, and political and cultural discourse. In her free time, Rachel enjoys wandering new places from new neighborhoods in New York City to new mountains in a national park.
