Rachel Edelstein is a rising sophomore at Princeton University, where she is concentrating in Ecology & Evolutionary Biology with certificates in Global Health & Health Policy and Musical Theater. As a Science & Society Intern in Civic Service, Rachel’s background in community outreach and engagement fuels her desire to challenge health inequality and promote advocacy during her time at the Aspen Institute Science & Society Program. Before attending Princeton, Rachel was the student ambassador for her district’s Special Education PTA, a founding member of her school’s Diversity Club, as well as the president of the Tri-M Music Honor Society as a vocalist and percussionist. At Princeton, she continues to foster these passions as a member of Roaring 20, a co-ed a cappella group; the Playhouse Ensembles, a musical theater choir and orchestra; the TapCats Dance Troupe; the Center for Jewish Life; and FACTUAL, a food-allergy awareness group that promotes inclusivity.
