Dr. Richard Daniele has been in private practice as a licensed psychologist for over 35 years in New York City and Pound Ridge, New York. He has extensive experience treating adolescents and adults with anxiety, depression, personality disorders, as well as with patients suffering from stress associated with chronic medical conditions. While on the faculty of New York University Medical School, he held the position, Clinical Instructor, for over 12 years. At The Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, also at New York University Medical Center, he was a Professional Research Scientist for over 16 years. Dr. Daniele was an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Clinical Psychology program at St. John’s University.

Currently, Dr. Daniele is a member of the Board of Directors of the Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy Study Center in New York City. He holds a Master’s Degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Columbia University and a Ph.D. from the City University of New York in Psychology. His postdoctorate certificates are in Psychoanalysis, the Supervision of the Psychoanalytic Process and Analytic Group Therapy. He utilizes a multidisciplinary approach in his work with patients, which includes psychoanalytic, cognitive behavioral and group therapy modalities. His professional publications include articles on various forms of therapy as well as on techniques of supervision of mental health professionals and medical personnel.
