Rob is founder and CEO of datavest where he continues his passion for developing capital formation vehicles to empower the unbanked and underbanked. After creating a NPO micro-finance institute (MFI) in Argentina and completing his graduate studies at the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University, he was given the unique opportunity to apply his knowledge of micro-finance and public policy within a private sector context as a Financial Advisor at Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management in Pasadena, CA. He decided to transition from the financial services industry in order to pursue datavest full time in April, 2017, when he could no longer shake one simple insight: personal data represents not just a new asset class but a new form of investable capital. Since then, Rob’s full energy and attention has been focused on creating a framework for individuals (including those with seemingly no wealth to invest at all) to share in the financial returns of their data capital. He is a father, husband, and lives on a ranch with donkeys, horses, and chickens in Altadena, CA.
Rob was a participant at the 2018 Economic Security Summit, which was held July 9-12, 2018, in Aspen, Colorado.
