Roberta Bell joined the Aspen Institute in July 2017 as an executive assistant with the ANDE program. Since March 2020, she has worked as executive assistant to Elliot Gerson, Executive Vice President of the Aspen Institute, who oversees its Policy Programs and International Partners.
Previously, as Executive Assistant to Bill Drayton, Founder of Ashoka, Roberta served as the information hub to promote his vision for the organization of supporting social entrepreneurs’ innovative solutions to challenges faced in their communities.
Her volunteer efforts have included working pro-bono as a columnist for The Baltimore Chronicle, co-creating a self-published local newsletter whose profits entirely benefited the social organizations featured, and more recently founding a Takoma Park civic engagement group. Roberta is fluent in French and spends her free time researching family history, hiking, and traveling.
