Sarah Chase Shaw is the Communications Manager for the Resnick Center for Herbert Bayer Studies. She is responsible for promoting and representing the Center and its mission in the Roaring Fork Valley and beyond. She manages all marketing, communications, and public outreach for the Bayer Center, including grant writing, marketing materials, donor impact reports, newsletters, web blogs, and social media. She also gives tours of the Center for public and private groups.
A native of Flagstaff, Arizona, Sarah received a master’s degree in landscape architecture from Cornell University. She began her career in Aspen as a landscape architect with Design Workshop, Inc., a landscape architecture and land planning firm. In the early 2000s, she started her own communication and design business. Sarah has written two books on the residential landscape architecture of Design Workshop. She is also the author of Living Beneath the Colorado Peaks: the Story of Knapp Ranch (2019), and On the Roof of the Rocky Mountains: the Botanical Legacy of Betty Ford Alpine Gardens (2021).
