Dr. Tamar Kaye is a New York State licensed clinical psychologist and entrepreneur based in New York City. She treats adults and adolescents struggling with a variety of diagnoses and psychological issues including depression, anxiety and personality disorders, PTSD and adult ADHD. Her offices are located in Brooklyn Heights and Union Square in Manhattan. Prior to starting her full-time private practice over 20 years ago, Dr. Kaye spent eight years on staff at NYU Medical Center in the Department of Neuropsychology at the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitative Medicine. Other positions she has held have included research assistantships at both, The Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and on the Harvard/Brown Anxiety Research Project at Massachusetts General Hospital. At Tufts University Counseling Center, she received extensive training in psychoanalytic treatment with young adults. She received her undergraduate degree with honors in psychology and french from The George Washington University and earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from William James College.

Dr. Kaye recently initiated two real estate investment projects related to her clinical practice: Remsen Kaye 100, LLC and Brooklyn Heights Therapeutics, LLC. Using a group practice model, subletting clinical spaces to therapists, she has created a network of talented clinicians who become referral sources to one another while remaining solo practitioners. Along with her clinical and entrepreneurial projects, Dr. Kaye considers some of her most important work to be as a member of a legal team supporting the asylum of a young Congolese woman. Dr. Kaye is multilingual, speaking English, French and Spanish fluently and serves as the young woman’s translator. She lives in Brooklyn with her family and their 9 year old Coton de Tulear, Henry.
