Tymeera Freeman is a student at Rutgers University-Newark, she is currently enrolled in the School of Criminal Justice. She also has minor in social justice and is currently applying to the school of Social Work to better align her field of study and her passion, which is to become a social worker or support any type of work dealing with female juvenile delinquents. Tymeera’s goal is to create Girl’s Group Homes and Non-Profit Organizations worldwide, which in result will help with recovering and stopping the high rate of recidivism amongst young women in urban communities. She wants to give back to the city of Newark and urban communities in a great way. Some of the community services Tymeera has participated in has been; food pantries at local churches and women’s empowerment events. She is currently apart of women’s organization, Vision of BELLE, which gives back to the community young women by having self-love workshops, safe sex workshops, college prep, SAT Prep, leadership retreats, yearly conferences and much more. Tymeera loves to be surrounded by youth. She loves advocating for the rights of African- Americans and the rights of all human beings. She has also advocated for the rights for equal pay for women and women equality over all. Tymeera loves advocating and empowering others, she’s a positive change agent.
