Yasmine Malone is a Clarksdale, MS native pursuing a BA at The University of Mississippi in Public Policy Leadership, Psychology, and Political Science. She hopes to build a career of public service, uplifting the voices of others while stimulating sustainable, impactful community engagement with policy and social change within the Delta.
She attended the Harvard Kennedy Public Policy Leadership Conference where she realized the value and urgency of minority engagement in policy and politics. She has been selected to participate in the 2019 Delta Scholars Program alongside a cohort of students and Harvard researchers collaborating with organizations, business leaders, public officials and non-governmental agencies invested in curating holistic, sustainable policy solutions to issues affecting the Mississippi Delta. This policy initiative will be presented at the annual Delta Regional Summit.
