Zach Epstein is an Associate in the Center for Rising Generations (CRG) leading the center’s research agenda on youth and young adults. He works to build a network of researchers across the country and to identify the most pressing questions affecting young people.
Before joining the Aspen Institute, Zach spent time in Dearborn, Michigan speaking with youth voters about the 2024 presidential election. As an observant Jew in the largest Arab-majority city in North America, he found his conversations about foreign policy and defense appropriations particularly memorable. This experience, especially spending time with students at a Dearborn community college, helped Zach envision an America that works for all citizens. He is excited to channel this energy within the CRG to forge a more equitable future.
Previously, Zach advised private and governmental organizations while a technology consultant at Ignyte Group. He created the event management platform for the U.S. House of Representatives and aided federal agencies and financial institutions in answering critical organizational questions.
Zach graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with bachelor’s degrees in Plan II Honors and Jewish Studies, and served on the Board of Directors at Hillel International and DC Minyan. Zach cherishes D.C. sunrise runs, enjoys playing basketball with friends, and hopes to one day visit every U.S. national park.
