Zuri is currently a Freshman at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas. Right now, Zuri is on the pre-business track for Entrepreneurship Management and is thinking about doubling with graphic design. Since enrolling in TCU, Zuri has become involved in various leadership organizations, such as Leaders For Life, which is a mentoring program that focuses on leadership skill development. She is also in the Chancellors Leadership Program, which is a 3.5 leadership development program in which students commit to learning how leadership development will contribute to their education and communities. Zuri is also a desk assistant.
Prior to attending Texas Christian University, Zuri attended Mary Institute and St. Louis Country Day School. Zuri was also a part of the Friends of Rachel Club, which promotes school community. As a part of that club, she served as the co-leader of the promoting kindness subcommittee, as well as the diversity, inclusion and tolerance subcommittee. She was also a member of the club, Identity, at her school, which advocated for promoting and embracing diversity within the school community. From her diversity work, she participated in the Anytown Youth Leadership Institute, a social justice camp that allows participants to experience and discuss the topics of discrimination. Zuri was also a member of the prom committee. Furthermore, Zuri was on the PBS Channel Nine Youth Advisory Board. During her freshman and sophomore years at MICDS, she was a member of the junior varsity basketball team, serving as co-captain her sophomore year. Zuri was proficient at running track since her freshman year. During her sophomore year, she qualified for state in four events and in her senior year, while dealing with an injury, she qualified for state in two events. She along with her teammates are the 2016 and 2018 Class Four State Track and Field Champions.
