Today, CityLab DC, the preeminent summit on global cities organized by The Aspen Institute, The Atlantic, and Bloomberg Philanthropies, kicked off its 7th annual two-day conference in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Vasquez, who is a founding member of the AILAS Advisory Board, succeeds Monica Lozano, a respected businesswoman, president of the College Futures Foundation, and co-founder of AILAS.
Attending are more than 45 mayors representing cities around the world, along with 300+ city innovators, business leaders, urban experts, artists, and activists. Prior summits have been held in New York, Los Angeles, London, Miami, Paris, and Detroit.Â

A member of the Fellowship’s inaugural class, Grayson will assume leadership of the program beginning in January 2020, following a period working alongside founding Executive Director Mickey Edwards.
