Aspen City Action Lab
The Aspen City Action Lab works with a select number of cities with significant Latino populations to generate long-term, inclusive economic growth through business ownership. The Lab provides city-specific data, increases collaboration, connects local leaders with federal policymakers and investors to leverage public funding and private philanthropy. Local Aspen City Steering Committees, made up of local cross-sector leaders, craft an overarching vision for inclusive growth and develop an inclusive and accountable plan of action.
Miami City Initiative
The Miami Action Lab Steering Committee will establish a backbone organization (community hub) to coordinate activities between service providers, and carry out a collective impact strategy. The organization, with support from the Lab, will also administer a survey to better understand the needs of BIPOC businesses in Miami-Dade County, and inform business support strategies.
Expected Milestones:
- Map the ESO landscape (In progress)
- Develop the infrastructure of the partnership
- Find a fiscal sponsor for this backbone organization
- Launch organization
- Design and deploy survey (In progress)
- Publish findings
