Track II Dialogues

For over 30 years, the ASG has taken on the most important global challenges facing America. ASG’s principal focus on arms control and defense strategy at the height of the Cold War evolved into “Track II” diplomacy dialogues between the U.S. and counterparts from Brazil, China, and India. These dialogues are most valuable to establish direct, personal contact when governments find it difficult to have honest and open conversations with each other. In 2018, the ASG launched its Transatlantic Strategic Dialogue in partnership with the Aspen European Strategy Group.

The U.S.-Brazil Strategic Dialogue paves the way for a stronger government-to-government, as well as a people-to-people partnership between the U.S. and Brazil.
