What We Do

The mission of the Aspen Strategy Group (ASG) is to provide a non-partisan forum to explore the pre-eminent national security and foreign policy challenges facing the nation.  Its cross-disciplinary and high-level examination of policy strategies to address emerging topics makes it a crucial resource for the American and global policy communities.

The ASG tackles both national and international topics and has broadened its lens to give full regard to the economic, social, and transnational dimensions of the issues.  It is committed to identifying topics that provide appropriate assessments of American national interest while taking into account the way these interests have evolved in our pluralistic, multipolar world.  Since its founding in 1984, the ASG has made this commitment central to its mission.
