The closing session of Aspen Ideas: Health 2022 featured a conversation with Pavlo Kovtoniuk, co-founder of the Ukrainian Healthcare Center (UHC), an independent health policy think tank based in Kyiv, Ukraine. During the pandemic, the UHC provided COVID-19 analytics and policy advice; since the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022, the UHC team has documented attacks on health facilities and health personnel in Ukraine. Previously, Kovtoniuk served as a consultant for the WHO Health Systems Office in Barcelona and earlier was deputy minister of health of Ukraine.
