Biography: Joyce Klein (Chair) is the director of the Business Ownership Initiative at the Aspen Institute, which advances business ownership as an economic opportunity strategy. Under Ms. Klein’s leadership BOI launched and convenes the Microfinance Impact Collaborative, helped to create the Small Business Borrowers’ Bill of Rights and the Responsible Business Lending Coalition, and researched the role of platforms and networks in expanding the scale and impact of the US microenterprise field. She is currently the chair of the executive committee of the Responsible Business Lending Coalition and a board member of Credit Builders Alliance. Jonathan Brereton, Jonathan Brereton is a Principal with Revolve and has more than two decades of financial and risk management experience in the CDFI context. Jonathan is also Executive Director of Thread Capital, a new CDFI business lender in Raleigh, North Carolina. Prior to his work with Revolve and Thread, Jonathan led Accion in Chicago for 14 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Business and Economics from Wheaton College (IL). Jonathan was a driving force behind creation of the Hatchery, a $36M non-profit food incubator, and the Chicago Microlending Institute, a first-of-its-kind initiative to train new microlenders. FINTECH+ offers members enhanced exposure to FinTech and convergence into the digital economy. As an independent PLATFORM, it is aligned to create value effectively. The model is based on tightening the feedback loop in the ECOSYSTEM of solution providers, investors, corporates, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective knowledge exchange, innovation matching, and fundraising.
