“To go fast is to go alone, but to go far is to go together.”
– Aimée Eubanks Davis, Founder & CEO, Braven
Pahara Aspen Education Fellow and winner of the 2023 McNulty Foundation Prize Aimée Eubanks Davis launched Braven with a powerful inspiration—a desire to address the disparity she witnessed firsthand. As her former students, who had overcome humble economic backgrounds to secure a college education, embarked on their post-graduation journey, they encountered a disheartening challenge. Despite their academic achievements, they struggled to secure meaningful job opportunities that aligned with their degrees and aspirations.
At the Action Forum, Aimee’s McNulty Prize micro-documentary shared the story of Rutgers graduate Claudia Savaadra Bueno whose experience was a testimony of how Braven steps into this void. By providing an innovative platform that equipped her with more than just skills, Claudia was hired and promoted at Crowe. In her pitch, Aimee debunks how Braven goes beyond the conventional boundaries of education to give more students a chance at the “American Dream”.
