Anna Klingensmith currently serves as the Program Associate for the Aspen Strategy Group. In this role, Anna provides an array of research, logistical, and administrative support for projects across the entire Aspen Strategy Group (ASG) portfolio, including the Summer Workshop, Rising Leaders Program, Aspen Security Forum, and Track II Dialogues. Prior to joining the Aspen Strategy Group, Anna worked as a Research Analyst in the Office of the Security Attaché at the Embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain in Washington D.C., where she gained expertise in foreign policy and security matters relevant to the United States and the Middle East. Anna graduated from Duke University with University Honors and Distinction and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies (AMES). In her final year at Duke, Anna wrote two undergraduate Honors Theses which explored women’s roles in countering violent extremism (CVE) policy across the Middle East and Europe. She was born and raised in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
